Pièce de Résistance | Digital Print | 100% of proceeds go to Gaza emergency aid
DIGITAL ART PRINT
This piece is a mixture of the beautiful culture that is being stolen from their indigenous heritage. An ode to the admirable strength and spirit of our Palestinian brothers and sisters defending our third holiest site in Islam with their lives. The artwork represents the importance of holding on to the culture at risk. Their existence is resistance hence the art titled as “Pièce De Résistance” which means “piece which has staying power” in english.
A mixed media piece that includes acrylic, watercolour & digital editing. Lots of secret symbols throughout the piece that were inspired by events and hold significant meaning. A picture worth a thousand words.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Prophet (saw) said, “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
I vividly remember attending my first protest ever for Palestine over 15 years ago when I was a teen with my friends and family. The culture and courage of our Palestinian Muslim brothers and sisters has always inspired me and has been dear to my heart just as many.
A friend of mine whom I had met in grade four used to share her people’s plight and I became aware of the unbelievable injustices done by the Israeli occupation at a very young age.
I grew up learning and experiencing their rich Palestinian culture through the kindness of her and her family. Also, Palestine & Pakistan are a match made in heaven. Just saying.
“They used to say Palestinians fight like heroes, now they say heroes fight like Palestinians.”
GAZA NEEDS OUR HELP NOW
Gaza is experiencing continuous attacks, with a rapid escalation of violence.
After suffering decades of violence and human rights violations, Palestinians continue to feel unsafe in their own country. The economy has been damaged by political instability and constant violence. The blockades cause chaos on a daily basis.
Islamic Relief is on the ground in Gaza, helping to provide urgent food and medical assistance.
Already a third of the people in Palestine live below the poverty line. Thousands of families are struggling with financial hardship. Your donations can provide Gaza with the help it needs.

At the end of the day, we must remember that everything we do here on earth should be for Allah – so when we fight for justice and protect the oppressed, remember that this is one way of showing our faith and devotion towards Allah.
